Day 6
March 6, 2014
Today we woke up early to leave La Selva. We left around 6:00AM. We went to Guapiles for breakfast. We boarded another bus that took us to the boat to get to Tortuguero. We had a tour guide names Johnny. He told us information about the place we were going to and the various fruit farms. We got on the boat to get to Tortuguero. We saw various types wildlife while on the boat ride. We got to Tortuguero and were greeted with a cocktail. We got shown to our rooms and then went to lunch.
After lunch we got back on the boat to go to the city of Tortuguero. We saw a movie about the sea turtles and then took a walk on the beach. Then we proceeded to explore the city. Some of us got drinks and all of us bought souvenirs. We got back to the room and some of us went swimming in the pool. I went swimming and taught Jaleesa how to swim. Then we got out and got ready for dinner. We had dinner and then worked on our research projects. I wound up using my Spanish to talk to the front desk person to let me directly connect to the internet to upload this blog.
