Day 9

March 9, 2014

Today we woke up at 3:15AM/5:15AM, we had to be in the lobby of the hotel by 3:30AM/3:30AM. We left a little bit before 4:00AM/6:00AM. We arrived at the airport and we had to through several checkpoints. First we went through the tax check point. We had to pay a fee to travel. Then we proceeded to check in our luggage and get our boarding passes. This was followed by the Security Check point. Once that was cleared we went to find some breakfast. Around 6:15AM/8:15AM we began to board the plane. Once we showed our boarding passes we had another Security Check point. They opened our carryon bags and did a thorough inspection. We then got on the plane. With so many documents in had it reminded me of the movie "Argo". In the film the USA people had to clear several checkpoints and it one went wrong they had to stay behind. While we waited for the flight to take off, there was music in the background. I heard "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons in the background. I heard the chorus but the rest was faint. There was a 20 minute delay because of issues with Immigration. Once we were clear for takeoff, I was so happy to go. I may have been at home (Costa Rica) but there is nothing like going home to my family.

I waited for some food and drinks to come around. While I waited I was working on my blog and updating the music on my MP3 player. I finished updating my MP3 player and I put up my laptop. I ate my food and drank some water. I fell asleep while listening to my music. According to Alex, she said I sleep with my mouth open. When they announced we arrived in Georgia, a tear went down my right cheek. We arrived in Columbus around 1:05PM. I turned my phone on and texted everyone to say I was back. We then got off the plane and cleared Customs and Immigrations. We then boarded to bus to take us home to Columbus, Georgia. After a while of traveling we made it back to Columbus State University and the journey had ended.
